Who we are
DAB Mobility Group ("we", "us") operates the website at dabmobilitygroup.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at asher@dabmobilitygroup.com.
What we collect and why
We collect personal data in four ways.
- Contact form. When you submit the form we collect your name, company, email address, the topic you chose and your message. We use this to reply to you and, if you become a client, to manage our work together. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to enquiries) and, where relevant, taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (security and operation of the site).
- Visitor numbers. We count visits to the public pages ourselves, without cookies and without any outside analytics company. For each visit we record the page, the date, the website or link that sent you, your country and whether you used a phone or a computer. To count each visitor once a day, your IP address and browser are combined with a random value that changes every day and is deleted at the end of it, so the result cannot be traced back to you or linked to another day. We do not store your IP address. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (understanding how the site is used).
- Media logins. Some pages are open only to people we have given a login. If you have one, we record your name, company and email address, and while you are logged in, which pages you open and for how long. You are told this on the login page. We use it to understand what is useful to you and to follow up. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (managing access and our business relationship with you).
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. See the cookie policy.
Who we share it with
Form submissions, visitor numbers and login activity are processed by Netlify, Inc., which hosts this site and handles this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Netlify may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell or rent personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records for the duration of our engagement and for 6 years after it ends for legal and accounting purposes.
Visitor numbers are kept as daily totals. Login activity is kept for 13 months and then deleted. Your login details are kept while you have access, and deleted on request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct inaccurate data
- ask us to delete your data
- object to or restrict our processing
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email asher@dabmobilitygroup.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form data is stored by our hosting provider with access limited to authorised people. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
