Demonstration replay. The map is real: Ordnance Survey buildings, river, parks and roads, and every route follows real streets. The 11 campaign vehicles (10 on the road and 1 helicopter), their speeds and the counts are invented for this demonstration. The hour is a sample picked inside the premium zones at the morning peak, so it runs richer than the campaign average. Tap any marked vehicle to follow it.

If it moves, we can make it media. If it's media, we can make it accountable.

Anything moving through a city can become a media platform. DAB brings the mobility knowledge, the partners and the technology to plan the campaign, get it on the road, and prove what happened once it was there.

Media monitoring

Spending money on taxi advertising? Do you know your campaign is actually on the road?

DAB can independently monitor mobility media campaigns. Not the media owner marking its own homework: a separate check that what you paid for is on the road, where it should be, for as long as it should be, and a report at the end that says so in plain words.

  1. 01

    Deploy

The campaign goes onto the vehicles as booked.

  2. 02

    Track

Where the vehicles are operating, when technology allows it.

  3. 03

    Monitor

On-street checks that the campaign is live and intact.

  4. 04

    Measure

Deployment and movement turned into data.

  5. 05

    Report

A post-campaign analytical report you can act on.

What independent monitoring includes

  • Campaign verification
  • Weekly on-street monitoring
  • Photography and evidence
  • Vehicle checks
  • Route-aligned delivery against the plan
  • GPS-measured dwell by zone
  • Premium dwell days, by area
  • Movement corridor density
  • Post-campaign analytical reports

This is about giving brands and agencies accountability for their media spend.

How we measure

Four rules, said plainly.

Short enough to read out on a call.

The 5 mph rule

We only count time when the vehicle is inside a premium zone and moving at 5 mph or slower. That is walking pace, the speed people on the street can actually read the advert.

The 24-hour rule

A static advertising site is up all day, so one site day is 24 hours of premium dwell. We show the hours first and the site days beside them, so you can check the maths yourself.

The cap

We only count time while the vehicle is working. A stop counts for up to 10 minutes, which covers traffic, lights and drop-offs. After that it is treated as parked and stops counting. Engine-off time, taxi ranks, depots and drivers' homes never count. Helicopters are measured separately, as aerial display time.

Measured or estimated

Every figure is labelled. Measured comes straight from the vehicles' own tracking. The number of vehicles fitted with trackers is agreed with each client as part of the campaign. Estimated is modelled, impressions for example, and we tell you the method and the data behind it.
